Juan Mateo is the founder and CEO of Macal Capital, a nationwide private money lending firm dedicated to helping real estate investors access smart, asset-based funding solutions. As an entrepreneur, financial strategist, and proud immigrant, Juan has built a business rooted in trust, resilience, and the belief that success should be accessible to everyone.
Born in the Dominican Republic, Juan immigrated to the United States in 1987 in search of a better life. Now a long-time resident of Massachusetts, he is a devoted husband and proud father of four children—two sons currently serving in the U.S. Army, one daughter who is a licensed attorney, and another who works in human resources.
Juan’s career journey reflects his drive and versatility. He’s the former owner of Juma Grocery and Check Service and the current owner of Juma Multiservices, which offers tax preparation, notary services, and small business support. He is also a partner at Mateo & Moran Properties, a real estate investment company.
At Macal Capital, Juan leads a team that provides private lending services across the country, focusing on fix-and-flip loans, bridge financing, rental property loans, ground-up construction, and more. With no minimum credit score requirements for fix and flip investments, Macal Capital was built to remove barriers and give investors a clear path to closing deals and building wealth.
